SUCCESS was to be enjoyed by Andrew Minister as he won the 17-mile Osmotherley Phoenix race. The fell race was part of the 10th Osmotherley Annual Fete which offers three course distances for its competitors. 17, 26 and 33 mile courses are available.

Karl Edwards also turned out for the club and competed in the 26 mile race. Karl took 5th place and completed the course in 4hours 10mins. It should be noted that there was torrential rain as they got half way round the course!
