As many of you are aware I have recently complied several reports for the front page of the web site, these are placed on the web by the web master(s) normally within a couple of days of receipt; however, recently I have sent in THREE race reports plus other information on the Tees Forest Trail , The Coledale Fell, The Carlton Challenge and some results on the London Marathon. Todate, these have not yet appeared, yet were sent over NINE days ago. What is the point of reports and having a web site when information is not placed on it, or is delayed for such a long time? I am aware that the web is time consuming, yet I am equally aware that at least two other members volunteered to take on the task prior to the present incumbents. I regularly check other local sites ,i.e. Esk Valley and NFR, both sites and in particular NFR have resports quite quickly and in the case of NFR often a small snippet on the same day of the race. I have therefore decided very reluncantly not to forward any more reports. I feel that the club is sinking back into the abyss of the early nineties when professionalism was a sin. Rather than just read this report and not comment, I would appreciate your views being published whether you support me or not. I will also, lated this week, inform you of other concerns I have regarding the dissemination of information and the lack of communication from the committee. Yes, this is a rant, but as a fully paid up member I feel that concerns should be expressed and aired openly for the benefit of the club.

Only three runners represented the club today at Hull for their annual 20mile road race, think this might have something to do with it being held on the same day as the clubs Marina 5 miler. In very windy conditions, congratulations once again goes to Brian Ast[/i]ill. He put in an excellent performance and finished the first over 40 Vet in a time of 2hrs 8min in 14th position. Next home for the club was myself in 2hrs 18mins (47th), closely followed by Davy Edwards in 2hrs 20mins (60th).

Nice to hear in the presentation Burn Road Harriers being thanked for there participation in this race over recent years.
