Whitby Cross Country

After a longer than usual winter break the NYSD season continued with the traditional New Year fixture at Whitby. There was a low turnout for Burn Road, but the event saw a welcome return for Andy Minister who, after a strong run in the Old Monks', put in a very good run to finish 11th. Second home for Burn Road was Keith Galbraith (19th) - an impressive performance for a runner who's been improving all season. Also scoring points for Burn Road were Mark Armstrong (25th), Andy Kelly (29th), Paul Wilson (37th) and Gary Wilson (44th).

There were also good performances from Karl Edwards (46th) in his second race of the day, Geoff Gardner (69th) continuing his good form in the Vet 3 category and Peter Johnson (72nd).

In the Ladies' race Lesley Strickland was the sole Burn Road Harrier finishing 35th overall.
