A welcome to Kim Crowther who has joined our coaching squad. Kim is a qualified field event coach who competes for M'Boro & Cleveland and will take up a teaching post at High Tunstall in September. Kim joins at an apt time, this Saturday sees the final Div. 3 NE Mens' League match at Darlington, a crucial fixture that will decide whether Scarborough or Burn Road are relegated with Chester le Street. It has to be admitted that the field events have never been our strong suit and any help that Kim can give could result in a more balanced team.
Mike Wilson is hoping to take a coach full of athletes and supporters to the Tartan Games at Gateshead on Saturday 26th August, contact Mike on H'Pool 421425, also if you are interested in the Jarrow Open on August 13th. After all the euphoria of the European Cup Match at Gateshead your appetite should have been whetted for the Norwich Union Classic there on Monday 28th August. The ticket hotline is 0870 444444 0.
